Statement of Faith

We live in shifting times but our faith is rooted in eternal truths and teachings of the Holy Scriptures. 

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

GOD: We believe there is one true God who exists and has revealed Himself as One. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit each distinct, yet all of One essence. 

GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY: We believe that God is on His throne and controls everything that comes to pass.

JESUS CHRIST: We Believe Jesus Christ was only-begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. He was both fully God and man in one person and lived a perfect sinless life fulfilling the law perfectly. That He is the eternal Son of God who took on an additional nature of humanity through Mary. His beginning in the flesh only began (Isaiah 9:6) as His eternal nature (being the Son of God) took upon himself a body (Colossians 1:15-17; Micah 5:2) for the first time on earth (as the Son of Man).

SALVATION IN CHRIST: We believe a person is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ, the son of God. All who repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born again into eternal life as children of God.

INDWELLING POWER: We believe we are indwelled by the Holy Spirit eternally by whom we are given spiritual gifts and talents to use to build up the body and further His spiritual kingdom here on earth until Jesus returns. God has given each of us talents and spiritual gifts through the Holy Spirit to use to fulfill our calling and ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) to lift and draw to Jesus Christ.

AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible is the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16), and its governing authority over every aspect of our lives. We believe the Scriptures to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God.

CHURCH: We believe that those who place their faith in Christ becomes one in the Body of Christ, "His Church," as a distinctive community to accomplish God's purposes in the world today.

Baptism: We Believe Water baptism is for all believers that have already exercised faith in Jesus Christ, which saved them. Baptism is a token of the New Covenant. It is an act of obedience to Christ's command. All New believers in Christ should be baptized in water. Water baptism becomes a visual demonstration that they have been baptized into Christ when they first believed the gospel.

MAN: We believe that man is made in the image of God, but lives in a fallen state (sin), and needs a Savior (Christ). We believe God creates us male and female, equal in value and complimentary in roles.

FAMILY: We believe that the family through marriage is God’s institution and mirrors the relationship between the church and Jesus Christ as the basic building block of human society. We believe the Bible teaches clearly that marriage is the union of one man and one woman! We believe God has given sex as a wonderful gift to be enjoyed in marriage alone between a husband and wife. The purpose of sex in marriage is oneness, children, and pleasure.

GOD'S PLAN FOR ISRAEL: We believe that God is not through with the Jews, that all of Israel will be saved (Romans 11) as spoken in Scripture. Thus We are pre-millennial; God has a plan for the church and for Israel and they are not the same. That Israel will recognize their Messiah by and through the Tribulation period that is yet to come upon this earth.

ETERNITY: We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the world and establish the final state of all things. We believe in the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the last judgment and the everlasting punishment of the lost, and everlasting life for all who believe.
